Tele-Communications and Data Systems Bonding and Grounding
REGISTRATIONS FOR THIS CLASS ARE CLOSED!
This is an 8-hour class that focuses on the Bonding Requirements and Installation Techniques for customer facility Tele-Communications and Data Systems. Also covered in this class is the Intersystem requirements between the bonding systems and the facilities grounding system. A certificate will be provided at the end of the class.
IBEW members and Contractor employees must register in person at the Houston Electrical Training Center by February 24, 2026. There is no fee required, but members must present a current dues receipt to register.
Registration procedures per the JATC Committee will be:
IBEW 716 Teledata Unit Members will have first priority.
IBEW Journeyman Wireman will have next priority if space is available as registration deadline for class draws near.
IBEW CW / CE’s will have priority after IBEW Journeyman Wireman if space is available as registration deadline for class draws.
Class will meet on Tuesday evenings in Room #31 upstairs.

Registration Deadline: On or Before Tuesday, February 24, 2026 by 4pm.
To Register for this class, you will need to come to the JATC Office (108 Covern Street, Houston, TX 77061) between the hours of 8am to 4pm Monday-Thursday, 8am to 3pm Fridays by February 24, 2026 before 3pm with a current dues receipt.

NEC Code Class
This course covers practice testing for the JW state exam. Prior knowledge of the NEC is recommended to take this class. The focus of this class is on the look-up of basic NEC questions, NEC code calculations, and basic electrical theory by using weekly practice tests. Included in the class are tips to use for successful test taking.

There is No Pre-Registration or Fee required for this class. Anyone interested in taking this class must show up before 6:00pm on any Thursday Night during the period listed above (excluding Holidays) with a current dues receipt from an IBEW Local Union. You may attend as many or as few classes as you desire.
